• How will the Virtual Marriage Event work?

    See our How It Works section for more details. There is also a full briefing when you arrive on the day which explains how the process works. You also have the opportunity to ask questions at this stage.

  • Do I need to book and pay for tickets in advance or can I just turn up on the day?

    All tickets must be purchased in advance, booking closes the day before any event date. You will not be able to turn up on the day.

  • I'm not very tech savvy, will the virtual event be very technical?

    Not at all, the host will be doing most of the work plus a full demo will be provided on the day and a communications brief will be sent out prior explaining how to use the video communication service. The chances are you have probably used it in the past (or something very similar).

  • Can I contact a candidate directly to arrange a one-to-meeting?

    No, request for one-to-one meetings will be done through the host. The Chat function will be limited whereby candidates will only be able to communicate with the moderator and not the other candidates. This function will be used for your protection and disrection purposes.

    If you are interested in a candidate tick 'Yes' against their Badge Number on the Match Card. More details will be given on the day.

  • Why do I need to complete an Event Profile?

    Event Profiles will provide further supporting information to candidates. This will save time in asking basic information like their age, height and profession.

  • Do I need to install any software on my PC/laptop?

    No, the video communication service will work on any Windows, Apple or Andriod device. It also runs on almost any internet browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, Firefox).

  • Shall I connect to the event through my phone or laptop?

    We strongly recommend you connect with a laptop or tablet device, something with a reasonable screen size. From experience it just makes it easier for the candidate because the session in place is interactive. Plus you would find it easier to see the other candidates.

  • I really would like to attend but the event has sold out?

    If you would like to attend an event but it appears to be sold out you can always be added to our Step-in List. We try our best to ensure there are an equal number of male and females at our event therefore, if someone books but then at the last minute cannot attend, we can email you and let you know tickets have become available. This will be on a first come first serve basis so check your inbox regularly and be super quick to book!

    Just email contact@marrymemuslim.com with the header 'ADD ME TO THE STEP-IN LIST', mentioned the name of the event and your gender, that's it, you've been added.
